Ofsted & SIAMS Report

Walsh Memorial C of E Infant School was judged Outstanding by Ofsted in December 2013. Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) is responsible for inspecting the standards of schools in England.

All schools judged outstanding between May 2012 and November 2020 were exempt from inspection, but are, once again, subject to routine inspection. Our school will be inspected again by July 2025 and this will be a full ‘graded’ inspection.

All Church of England Schools receive an additional inspection carried out every five years, know as SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools). In January 2016 we were inspected and classified as an outstanding church school. Following a delay in re-inspection caused by the pandemic, our school will be inspected again during this academic year.
